Why I’m Making Frames

Limited Edition, Unlimited Vision

To me my frames are fun and playful, they provide a purpose, could add colour to a dull space. I feel they can also be humorous, and contradictory like my frame that I use army men on which has been sprayed pink. I have decided to use objects that are ordinary and highlighting them as a decorative piece. The objects that I intend to use variety from things like paperclips, to kids toy cars, buttons, domino’s, beads, coins etc. Once I have added the objects onto the frame I will on most of them anyways spray the whole frame one colour, which I feel adds a contemporary feel to the frame, using metallic sprays as well as colours like pink, grean blue and purple to give a varied choice to the consumer.

Unwanted Objects..

Nowadays people are de-cluttering or  changing their decor, which is great but it creates a lot of waste so this is where i feel an up cycling business could have an opportunity to thrive and an obvious place where people sell these in abundance is car boot sales. so that’s where i decided to go.

so a few boot sales later and here we are, i set myself a budget and i’ve rummaged, and hunted through every box, and found quite a few items which i snapped up, i am not sure what i am going to do with my items yet, but they range from plates, glass vases, jars, some small tables, metal tins, and a suitcase which i am in love with.  so with all the items bought, its time to crack on and think of all the new possibilities for these unwanted objects.
